Jetzt im vierten Jahr zeigt die Climbing Film Tour jedes Jahr eine einzigartige Auswahl an Kurzfilmen, die sich auf Klettern, Hochtouren, Bergsteigen und andere vertikale Abenteuer konzentrieren. Von unerzählten Geschichten, unbesungenen Helden und den Gesichtern, die wir beim Klettern kennen und lieben – die Tour hat für jeden etwas.
Von ihren bescheidenen Anfängen, die vom Team hinter dem Vertical Life Magazine in Australien geschaffen wurden, wurde die Tour konzipiert, um die weltweiten Klettergemeinschaften zu inspirieren, während das Outdoor-Abenteuer begrenzt war – und entwickelte sich seitdem zu einer weltweit erfolgreichen Filmtour. Um das Wachstum der Tour widerzuspiegeln, haben wir 2023 die Climbing Film Tour umbenannt. Die Tour zielt darauf ab, Filmemachern ein Forum zu bieten, um ihre Filme zu präsentieren und Gemeinschaften zu befähigen, sich zu verbinden, indem sie die Filme und Werkzeuge zur Verfügung stellen, um Shows in lokalen Städten auf der ganzen Welt zu veranstalten. Angetrieben von der Leidenschaft, die Geschichten von Kletterern auf der ganzen Welt und unserer Liebe zur globalen Klettergemeinschaft zu erzählen, beginnt die Tour im November 2023.

“Jamrock” follows the remarkable journey of Kai Lightner, a 12-time national climbing champion and the visionary founder of “Climb for Change.” Against the backdrop of Jamaica, renowned for its vibrant culture but not traditionally associated with rock climbing, Kai embarks on a transformative mission.
The film delves into the heart of Jamaica’s emerging climbing community, where passion and determination thrive despite limited resources and recognition. As a sport historically dominated by white individuals, Kai seeks to challenge stereotypes and foster inclusivity by bringing the thrill of rock climbing to a diverse range of enthusiasts.

Embracing the Grim

This project was conceived and produced by Aleksandra Janiak, Fay Manners and Line Van den Berg. Sadly, Line never had the chance to see it finished.
